A person got on and asked is there ranks? i replied no im sorry i have asked the owner to put them in. Ranks should be the essential of this. Ranks not only make the players feel better when they get promoted they stay on the server longer. The guy asked me if he brings more people to the server can he get a rank, or a nickname. I told him i don't have a nickname. Well I myself really want ranks.
Ranks:
Guest (Starts off with the simple comands.)
Member(Has been on the server for 3 hours)
Citizen(Has estalbished themselfves to the server.)(Also starts getting new commands like Tpa.)
Knight(Has been on the server for 3 days now)(New commands /nick)
Noble(Highest rank for normal players)(been on the server for 1 week)(New commands *You can decide*)
Staff:
Helper(Must be 10 years old or higher)(New commands /mute)
Moderator(Must be 13 years old to apply)(New commands /mute /kick /ban *temp*, and maybe /fly)
Administrator(Must be 15 years old or higher)(New commands:ALL)
Special Ranks:
Demon(Must be Nova)(New Commnads:/fly /mute /ban*temp*/nick *SideNote:I made this rank for me since I designed the Rank system and I worked very hard
Donator Ranks:
Gold(10.00 Donation)(New commands:/Nick /warp donator
Diamond(20.00 Donation)(New Commands:/nick /warp donator *And onda or pollo can decide more.*
Thanks for reading this is spend like 1 hour thinking of this, i would love you to Implement them and i made myself a special rank since i designed this.

I do not really know about a special rank all for yourself, but the ranks seem like an okay idea. The problem with nicknames is that it becomes a hassle when dealing with a lot of people on the server, so it would probably be a good idea to keep everybody's real username  . All together, ranks seem like a good idea, only problem is that some people can get impatient, leave server out of frustration before they can even get a chance to see all the cool stuff about the server or get an upgraded rank. IF there will be ranks, the lowest rank should probably be based off of the standard class citizen that everybody else is now. Also, I think that ranks are part of the group manager plugin, but I do not know how to make it so that it automatically upgrades somebodies rank in a given time. |

i understand where your coming from nova however, with ranks, comes inequality, I.E issues. say a new person comes on, and says they cant do anything, so they leave. or better yet they get killed. and they don't have access to any commands so they cant make a home, property, or anything to protect themselves. with each item we implement, new problems will arise. i will discuss this with onda, however i dont know if it will go anywhere.

I see what you are talking about.. I was under the impression when you were talking about this earlier, you just wanted the groups we currently have to be named differently.
Unfortunately, I've no real intention of making multiple ranks of citizen. You either are a member of the community, or you aren't. Donator/staff ranks are a different story, and they could be called whatever I feel like calling them, so they could change.
I've also no intention of giving 1 person their own rank... I thought we had already discussed that... and nicknames are unlikely, as they wind up being a troll toy more than anything that is actually useful.
Also, just fyi, the age requirement for staff will always remain at 16. You and Old were exceptions, as you were the first 2 people on the server, and showed some dedication to helping out to get things rolling.

Yes ranks probably were a bad idea. The idea came from a different server that has ranks, although things function very, very differently on that server, where you get op gear from the start, so it wont really be much of use or will make things better on this server. Also I really do not get the age thing lol, most people usually will not give their real age over the internet and besides there are many responsible people I know who are under the age of ten and a lot of adults who have nothing better to do than ruin somebodies day on a server . However that has nothing to do with ranks so whatever |

The whole ranks thing isn't a BAD idea, it's just not necessarily applicable to the way the server is set up...
I realize, Old, that some people who are young may be mature, and frankly if someone lies to me about their age and I can't tell they are lying (they are mature) then I don't really care. The fact is the overwhelming majority of people mature as they get older.
There are a number of people on our server that could swear up and down they were at least 16 and I would not believe them. I've also known several people in the past that I thought were younger than they turned out to actually be. In these cases it wouldn't make any difference, because I wouldn't promote any of these people anyways.
The age requirement is sort of a guide to let people know immaturity will disqualify them. I even state in the application area that exceptions can be made. However if someone lies to me about it and I find out they were lying, I will demote them.
