Well i have been playing on many faction servers recently i want to add it. When one of the Newbies got on he asked why there was no Faction's. So i think factions would be a great part of the server. (maybe even a factions world)!

Since there are already parties, factions probably will not be added to the pvp world. However a faction world sounds pretty cool, maybe grief will be enabled (probably only world where you CAN use tnt).

Looking into it... if it's not too much trouble I may add factions just to the pvp server. It adds some interesting functionality that parties doesn't have, however, you need to realise that factions is the type of plugin that fundamentally changes a lot of the gameplay on the server.
It impacts several commands that we already have set up, as well as manipulating protections, which we already have 2 plugins related to protections running. It is a drastic enough change that it may be easier, as old suggested, to create a whole new factions world where the protections are handled differently, but the command issues remain even then.
I don't really have time to go over all this right now and be sure it works properly, but it is something I've actually been thinking about for a while, as factions is a pretty cool plugin imo.
Edit: Also, this belongs in the suggestions section, not the plugin guides, so I'm moving it.
