Currently the server has all survival worlds, and two minigames, which is the mob arena and the chesscraft board. But why not a minigame world? An example of some minigames are games like spleef, survival games or pvp minigames. A suggestion is that instead of a lot of worlds in which each minigame takes up a world, the minigames are all located in one world dedicated to minigames and there are warps at spawn that let you access a specific game more easily. A different idea is that minigames can be located in different spawns in either the care bear world or the pvp world, so people can play access a minigame if they are in care bear or pvp world. Minigames will probably take up a lot of time and will be hard to work on, since almost every minigame will require a different plugin that will have to be configured with the plugins that are currently installed (unless people can get creative and come up with a decent minigame that can be made out of an existing plugin or vanilla minecraft).

Yeah, been looking into minigames to add. Most minigame plugins right now are outdated, and I don't have the time right now to actually try and script a minigame, so that's kind of where we stand with that. Would really like to get a walls type minigame and finish the pvp arenas. I will find a way to get some up soon. Some minigames still work even though they are outdated, but I would prefer ones that are as likely as possible to function properly so I can spend less time troubleshooting them and more time implementing new ones. o.0 It's unlikely that I will make separate worlds for each minigame, as that is just more resources to deal with, but I will likely put the warps at spawn (that's why we have so many unused gates there  ) The problem with vanilla minigames is they almost always require large amounts of redstone and or command blocks to do anything spectacular. (command blocks are disabled for various reasons and large redstone contraptions are horrible for obvious ones.) Simple games like a pvp arena can likely be achieved with the plugins we already have, but plugins like pvp arena make dealing with classes and stuff a lot simpler. If you see any minigame plugins that just look fantastic to you feel free to post them in here and I'll do what I can to get them on the server.  |

I looked around a little bit on bukkit, and I found this plugin which allows you to make a variety of minigames using the plugin, with features that allow you to customize things like minigame prizes (compatible with an economy plugin) and other stuff. Not sure if this is the best thing or not since I do not know much about running servers or plugins myself, but this plugin has been last updated on January 6 of this year, so here is a link to it: link |
