I did not think this was possible before 1.7 but apparently you can kill people inside of claims now. There are a few problems with this, at least in my opinion. If everything outside of a claim is fair game, then why is it possible to kill people inside of claims? It does not seem so fair to people if they are inside of their houses on claims and a player just enters the house and kills the player. Also, this greatly discourages shops outside of spawn and public areas created by players, because nobody will like to shop and know they might get slain by the next player who enters the shop. Also people might spawn camp others like this, by slaying a player and just sitting by their spawn point inside of their homes. Every time a player respawns and is no longer protected by anti pvp, they will be killed and will respawn back in their same bed and be killed all over again. I am pretty sure that before 1.7 people were protected from inside of claims by grief prevention, but I never really pvped inside of a claim before 1.7 so I am not 100% sure about this.
