I've tried turning on explosions in claims, but when i do its says something like explosions will not work in this claim. I am thinking of making a huge dark room spawner and I might get lots of gunpowder depending on the scale. If i could do TNT mining I could take advantage of MCMMO perks for blast mining while clearing large areas.  |

The reason tnt does not work in claims is because a person that is trusted in a claim might blow everything up. It is a shame that you can not use abilities like blast mining, but tnt is still a grief tool. Also, there is many other uses for gunpowder. Consider making fireworks or potion grenades instead of tnt.

Well you would only turn on explosions in a claim that you might want exploded  . I have a very useful technique for clearing large amounts of land with TNT. |

I understand how TNT could be valuable in certain applications, especially since it is included in mcmmo... However I have no intention of ever enabling TNT block damage on the server.
TNT can cause way too many issues, the bad ultimately outweighs to good, even if you are forced to put a claim around it. You can set up traps and such, as players should still take damage form the explosion, it just wont ever damage blocks.
If players AREN'T taking damage from TNT, let me know, they are supposed to.

Yes pork, making pits around peoples houses from tnt is exactly the reason it is not enabled.
