I checked the essentials plugin sign making page a while back, and I have found out that you can make colored signs ingame with the plugin. All you have to do is type &, a number that represents your color, and what you want to show on the sign. For example, &4this is red = this is red. I have tried this ingame, and it might have been disabled or something from normal players to use it, because I was unable to make a colored sign. I think colored signs will make server shops much nicer and will help decorate them more. Another type of sign that players should be able to make is an information sign. These are also available through the essentials plugin, but normal players can't make them for some reason. Players should be able to make these because they are easy ways to pack a lot of information into one sign, so people will not have to make a long list of signs if they are trying to write out a message or something.

YE! this needs to be put into effect i think everything is disabled for us on default so everything that we want onda to do for us must be manually turned on and the server reset most times and i can see how this is a lot of trouble, yet this needs to be implemented asap.

I do not know if the server must be reset or not, but it is true that a lot of the settings for the essentials plugin are still set to default, restricting players from using them. Something like this will not harm the server because there is nothing op about information signs (unless people just write a load of spam on them), and colored signs are just cool to look at.

Ok, well info signs are not going to happen. It would seem they access a universal info.txt file, and that is just too much trouble to try and manage everyone editing a single text file.
Colored signs I don't see a problem with and as I am typing this I believe I have enabled them in game for everyone, so give it a shot!

I love the colored signs, however, colored chat is so awesome! Perhaps donators could get this in the future? Also if they did you might have to edit chat spam blocker cause it wont let you do a bunch of colors(more than 6 or so) in a word.

Colored chat looks cool but I rarely use it simply because it is hard to type fast when making colors, and the reason the chat spam blocker does not let you use more than six colors is because, well, its spam. It gets kind of hard to read what a player is saying when they are typing in so many colors.
