Hat layer? he is not wearing anything on his head. He looks completely the same to me.

That looks right to me. Pretty sure he means the head that drops from Nova via the playerheads plugin looks different. It is very well possible that what you are looking at here is a hat layer, as hat layers do not show up on the head that drops to my knowledge, but I've no idea what his head looks like when dropped so I can't say for sure. Also fancy graphics just make things look... fancier.. duh |

Yes, his head does have a different skin when it is dropped. This is weird kind of but nova is now wearing the same skin as his head drop looks like so I guess it is normal now. Also, I am wondering, does the skin on a dropped head change if the person the head belongs to changes their player skin?
