server logging issues

For some reason, I was unable to join the server for the last couple of days. Every time I clicked on the join server button, it said that I had failed to log in because of a bad log in. The server icon then said that I had a communication error, and if I tried to join the server again, it said that I had failed to log in because of an end of stream, or sometimes it would say that the java internal connection had reset. Any idea on what could be going wrong? I have tried to join the server when it said that a person was online, yet it still did not let me due to the connection issues. I have tried restarting minecraft to see if that will fix the problem, but it did not. If you have any ideas to what went wrong or if you are having similar issues, you can post a comment down below.
